Unsafe to Delay Appendectomy in Adults

delay appendectomy

i think it is a faulty assumption by defining the delay between the onset of symptoms and time of surgery. For practical reasons and to obtain usable conclusions in the all day practice, only the delay between the arrival at the emergency department and the time of surgery should have been taken in to account.

h verroken: by your approach however you introduce an inherent greater variance of the results because of the variance in how long showing up at the emergency department will take. not sure what is worse.
